It’s Saturday And I Shall Rise From The Ashes

Whatever your thinking and feeling today is creating your future.

We are going too!!

The day started well, but soon after rising, I crashed, until noon and it felt pretty good. We decided Chinese was on tap for today, so the Silver Ghost and I rode the freeway to Panda Inn and brought home boxes of delicious goodies.

The menu was there; I was hungry; we are loaded with Chinese for the rest of the week!  Since it was 1:00 PM, I snuck in a G&T.

Since the Tollhouse Cookies are still off the shelves, Ralph’s provided our tookies for this evening.  Sampling one, it can be said that dry cookies are NOT my favorite. Icky!

We watched an old movie, in fact, 61 years old this month!  GiGi came out in 1958, and it was still pretty good.  The songs were fresh and made one feel pretty good.  This delightful, multi-Oscar winner features a turn-of-the-century Parisian tomboy who falls for her guardian, Louis Jordan, while being groomed as a courtesan.

Good movie captures Hollywood in it’s better times!

We watched Royal Pains and Boston Legal before hitting the sack for the night!

Before going to bed, I spend about 30 minutes with my new Shiatsu Elite II Massage Cushion, and boy does it work!

My back is as loose as a goose after 30 minutes on this thing!

10:45 PM and we crashed, Sue still has a small cold and me, and the tunny monster is still in a knock-down-drag-out fight to the end!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
