Movie Day With Julia Roberts

OK, we admit that Old Ranch was closed because they had to re-stripe the parking lots.  We went to see Dr. Drake, then had a fantastic Himilayian lunch near the beach.  Afterwards we went to Bella Terra to see “Eat Pray Love“.

We got home from the ball about 1:30 and decided to have a leisurely Sunday.  We went to church and then headed for the Queen Mary for the Art Deco Tea Dance.  Please join the fun! Also, enjoy the comics!

The 6th Annual Art Deco Ball

We did some errands in the morning and then headed to the Queen Mary for the 6th Annual Art Deco Ball.  Vicky and Del joined us for the drive to the Queen Mary where we met up with the Roberts, Branders for an evening of formal dinner dancing.  Right out of the 1930′s, the evening was fantastic!  We got home around 1:30. Golf, Happy Hour(s), and Dancing… Life Is Good!

Summer is nearing its end as evidenced by fog this morning!  We headed to Old Ranch for breakfast and then 18 holes with  Bunnaford!  Afterwards it was too close to happy hour to go home and come back so we began to get happy around three o’clock!  James and Linda joined us along with Susie and the party continued until about six when we headed for home, fed the puppies, and then off to dancing with friends at the Elks!  We made it until about 11:30 and then headed for home!

We headed to Temecula to dine and wine taste at Falker and Wilson Creek with our cruising friends, AJ & Laura Saam.  The day was fantastic and dining outside was super!  Please join us!

A quiet Sunday ended up with a wild time at Old Ranch Country Club.  Vicky & Del, Nancy & Vince, Monica, and James & Linda joined us for an evening of fun!  Good music, good food, good times!  Please join us!

A Day At The Races

We did another train adventure… This time from Fullerton to Solana Beach where we went to the races at Del Mar with family and friends!  We departed Fullerton about 9 a.m. and got to Solana Beach about 10:30… Just in time for lunch and a drink.  Then to the racetrack at 1:00 and watch the horsies for several hours before heading back home about 6:00.  The dinner at the Spaghetti Factory!  Please join all the fun!

We visited the doggies and then headed for Khoury’s for dinner and dancing and completed the evening around midnight at Buster’s!  Monica, Bunny, John and Ernie joined us for the festivities.  Vicky and Del joined us for dinner!  Join the fun!

The Birthday Jam Session

After church we did a few errands and then headed for Santa Ana Elks for the Jam Session!  We knew it was Bob’s birthday but we were surprised when we found out it was also Leon’s birthday… The fun instantly became twice!   Please join the fun!

Ed Roberts Joins The Elks

We had new initiates night which is where we tell folks about the Elks and what they do!  After the meeting, we headed for the dining room and danced until about ten (since we have a big day planned for Saturday!)

Pageant Of The Masters Evening In Laguna

Vicky did it again… She got front row seats for the Pageant and we had Jan and Brian Finch join the party.  Sue and I got to Laguna  a bit early and had a drink at Tivoli Too and then walked to the beach for a stroll before joining everyone on the festival grounds and having dinner.  Please join us!

Swinging At The Huntington

After church we went to Seal Beach for lunch and then rested a bit before heading to the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens for “Member’s Night”.  This evening we listened and danced to the Verdugo Swing Band!  Wow!  We had Vicky and Del, Irene and Herb, Marcia and Leon, and Ellen and Bill with us!  We danced, laughed and had a load of fun!  Please join us!

We joined Vicky and Del and Herb and Irene at the Balboa Bay Club for “a Swingin’ Affair”  with the Laguna Swing Set Orchestra and celebrity impressionist Bethany Owen. We got to dance and see Liza Minnelli, Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Keely Smith and Bethany as herself! What a great evening!  Please join us!
