Sad Day; Colleen Leaves For Home

Fact: If your home has brass doorknobs, it’s staying cleaner on its own than homes with wood or glass ones. Brass doorknobs will typically disinfect themselves in about eight hours. “This is because the metal ions in brass and copper are actually toxic to mold, viruses, and other living things.

We were up at 5:30 AM getting ready for the drive to John Wayne Airport, a drive we did NOT want to take.  Colleen flies home today, so we are sure the family is anxious to see her.

Scout did NOT want her to go

Bye, Scout, see you soon!

Remember,  when a dog runs at you, whistle for him.

The four of us had a lot of time together.

We have had a ball these past two-plus weeks!

Even at sad times, Colleen always brings a smile to our hearts.  She, Robin, and Mary helped me through Sue’s Scattering of the Ashes in Newport and the follow-on Celebration of Life.  It was easy when you are surrounded by love.

Always there and cring about others!

After we dropped her off, we headed home and worked in the office until late in the day!  I am concentrating on recovery!

Colleen would have enjoyed it!

My theory on housework is if the item doesn’t multiply, smell, catch on fire or block the refrigerator door, let it be; no one cares, why should you?

Keeping the office clean is like being caught in a revolving door.

We binge-watched “The Gilmore  Girls” as Mary is now addicted to the series.  I remember bits and pieces of it as I watched it by myself late into the night when I was alone.  We are in season two, and there are a total of nine seasons with 153 total episodes.  We have a long ways to go.

I told Mary, “I love you like a fat kid loves cake !”

I put together a webpage in the gardening area of our site about the progress of the garden.  It is interesting1

We crashed at 10:00 PM since we have to be up at 8:00 AM when the cabinet installer is coming to visit and make our lives easier!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
