Whadaday!

Fact: 90% of U.S. money has cocaine on it.  A study revealed that 90% of the dollars circulating in the economy have cocaine from exposure or drug use.  Traces of cocaine were found to reach 0.006 micrograms (several thousand times smaller than salt).  The green dye on dollars causes cocaine residue to stick to the bills.

Ever feel like you are on a treadmill?  We popped out of bed and headed to the gym for our exercise and fitness.  Returning home for a few minutes, we headed out to Girls Night Out, where frivolity is king and silliness runs rampant!

We dined at the Farmhouse at Roger’s Gardens, which was terrific; the menu was excellent!

Mary & Bill’s first time here!

Chef Rich Mead has been cooking farm-to-table food before the term even existed.  With decades of culinary expertise, Chef Mead has cultivated relationships with the highest regarded local and sustainably focussed farms and purveyors, allowing him to create the freshest menus using locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and specially grown vegetables.  Today, Farmhouse at Roger’s Gardens is the culmination of Mead’s long-standing relationship with these farmers and purveyors, who have become in many ways like family and have provided him with quality ingredients that Farmhouse uses throughout the menu in thoughtfully crafted dishes and cocktails.

Chef Mead came out to greet us as he knows Jan Mongell well!

We had a lot of fun with spears and arrows flying in every direction!

Fun times

Colleen is learning how to dine out of the box; she had their eggplant special!  It looked good, and she did not even share it with anyone.

The eggplant special!

We departed about 7:30 PM and took a short drive to Mary and Bill’s place for some serious color matching.

Heading back to Bill’s

Mary asked the girls if they wanted to know their colors; a resounding YES came forthwith!

She was getting her color on!

Mary C. looked at me and said, “BLACK & BLUE.”!

Both Colleen and Mary liked the winter colors!

We departed Newport Beach around 9:00 PM with Colleen as the driver (for obvious reasons).  At home, we crashed; it had been a long day!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
