More Progress Than Was Obvious

My hairline is in recession, my stomach is always in inflation, and these two together bring me into a deep depression.

We were up early since we had crashed before 8:00 PM!  Mary got ready for work and I worked on the Daily diary which I had missed a couple of days.  She headed to her office and I went to Casa Valencia with Scout, The Wonder Dog.  Scout also worked hard as I did not see a single elephant in the yard all day.

The plan was to meet Mary at her office at noon and go to order some cards.  To fill in the time, I did my quarterly estimated taxes and filled out the paperwork to send them registered mail to the IRC and the Franchise Tax Board.  While searching the bag full of papers, I also found a couple of bills I needed to pay.  It feels so good to have one place to be.

We are down to three boxes!

Before going to Huntington Beach, I stopped at the Post Office and then headed to a Subway near Mary’s office.  We had a picnic in the car with her turkey & cheese and my vegetarian medley.  We tried to use the computer where we wanted to order the cards but alas, it was dead.

Mary suggested we go to her office and use her computer which we did.  Success, cards are ordered and we will get them in about a week.

I headed back to Casa Valencia via Staples and Home Depot.  Note to self, take pictures of what you are trying to replace or but; the old brain just can’t remember if it is 1/2 or 3/4 or if it is male or female!

Mary brought home dinner from The Crazy Chicken and we dined by candlelight in the new home.  We talked to everyone on the Alexa Show.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
