Tuesday Was Again A Busy Day

My mother used to make me walk the plank when I was younger, we couldn’t afford a dog.

We saw two more homes and bought the second one!  Yup, we did it!  We decided it was the right price, the proper layout, has great potential for growth, a super place for Scout, The Wonder Dog, and room for a large garden plus a workshop/art studio!  YEAH!  It is a mile from Mary’s home in a nice area of Orange County.

Orange is a city located in Orange County, California. It is approximately 3 miles (4.8 kilometers) north of the county seat, Santa Ana. Orange is unusual in this region because many of its Old Town District homes were built before 1920. While many other cities in the region demolished such houses in the 1960s, Orange decided to preserve them. The city of Orange surrounds the small city of Villa Park. The population was 138,669 as of 2019.

All set up with solar!

OK, it has stairs, BUT it goes to a huge room we call “The Ballroom.”  Six to eight couples can dance up here, and it has its own air conditioning/heater system.  We will have to sneak in a wet bar, and all will be perfect!

I told Mary about the poor butterfly wasn’t allowed into the dance. It was a moth ball.

The flooring is perfect for dancing!

The kitchen is adjacent to the family room and has a view of the patio/backyard.  All brand new Samsung appliances, all we need is a frig.

I know where we will be eating!

We can cook, and we will move the TV to see it from the kitchen; hello Zachary!

Zack is the audiovisual wizard!

The kitchen is OK for us, maybe a little small, but there is growth potential!

…and the microwave is down low!

The office? Maybe a dining room?  We will live there for a while and then decide what we want to do!

The office is right off the entranceway!

A yard you say, yes, we have a YARD!  I know we can put in a large garden and still have room for a shop/art studio!  This will be fun!

Everything is solar-powered. There is plenty of room for a solar water heater!

The view from the entranceway through the family room to the backyard is interesting!

All brand new!

I will miss my home of 35 years, but alas, it is time to move on and start a new life in a new environment with room to enjoy and stay home and entertain our friends.  We are quite excited about the change in circumstances.

Sharing the rest of my life with Dr. Mary and in a new home will be an adventure, an adventure I am looking forward to.
