Morning is wonderful. Its only drawback is that it comes at such an inconvenient time of day.
Mary drove over to visit my house as there were some last-minute things to do. We decided to go to Old Ranch for breakfast, and we both had a great Ninth Hole Omelet. Brunch without champagne is just a sad breakfast. We had a bottle of Cakebread, delicious. Wine improves with age. The older I get, the better I like it.
I did ask Mary, “What wine goes with Captain Crunch?” I did not get an answer.
We then headed to my place, only 2.5 miles away, for a little spruce up. Mary watered everything while I painted the block wall surrounding the pool equipment.
Some comparisons are revealing. We really hope the sale goes through! Joe is coming over on Monday to review the geologist’s findings, and he will be able o see the property upfront and personal.
The Entrance Way
The Kitchen
The kitchen is important to us as we both like to cook and entertain.
The Living Room/Family Room
The living room and den are combined in the old house while they are distinctly isolated in the new house.
The Master Bedroom
The master bedroom suite is significantly larger in the new house. We remodeled the old house to make the bathroom larger and put in a sixteen-foot-long walk-in closet.
The Office
Because of m interest in computers, I spend a lot of time in the office and keep my cookbooks handy.
The Pool/Patio
While the pool was used quite a bit, the old house did not have any privacy nor view.
The Garage
We could have five cars, three inside and two outside… perhaps even an RV?
We finished painting and watering about 3:00 PM and headed to Mary’s for a well-deserved soak in the swim spa.
We watched a movie and made artichokes in the Instapot. By 11:00 PM, we were crashed. Tomorrow is a day of rest except for dancing Sunday evening.
