Friday Has Arriven And All Is Well

What do you call a cow with two legs? Lean beef.

Lazybones, I was; it was 9:00 AM when I finally rolled out of bed this morning.  I guess it was all the activities that are underway that caught up with me.

Mary was not working until late in the day, so I headed east, arriving just in time for breakfast!  After breakfast, Mary asked if I would help with Scout’s bath.  She tried him in the tub once, but the fifty-five-pound dog with wet fur was more than she could handle.  Now, Mary dawns her swimsuit and heads for the shower with the baby.  Works out fine, and I volunteered to dry him when he got out and then take him for a walk to really dry out—worked great.  Scout and I were gone, so Mary took her shower.  By the time we got back, Scout was a dry boy; I was, however, wet as the humidity and heat were already pretty high!

He was dry; I was wet!

I headed home around noon, knowing I was coming back as we plan to meet Robin at Patty’s Place for dinner before going to my place to swim.

When I took my shower, I realized I was 184 pounds!  It’s coming off slowly, but it is still coming off!

Mary got off a little early, so I whisked her away, and off to Patty’s, we went arriving at 6:00 PM on the dot!

The pose we all look forward too!

The three of us chattered away for a couple of hours, laughing and giggling at most everything.

We just enjoy each other’s company, and Robin is an added blessing!

We all departed and headed to Rossmoor as the pool is a pleasant 92 degrees, and it is warm outside, so time to cool off.  We swam for about an hour, and Robin joined us outside, although she did not go into the pool.

The pool is at 92 degrees and is just right for swimming!

It was getting late, and we were both turning into prunes, so we popped out, said goodbye to Robin as she goes to bed early because she is working tomorrow, and we headed back down the freeway.  We arrived at about 11:00 PM, so we watched a Miss Maisel, had a glass of wine, and then I headed back to Rossmoor.  The Silver Fox is getting used to this trip as it is only about nineteen miles or twenty-five minutes.

When I got home, I could not find my keys.  Well, the car would start, so the keys were close by.  I searched and searched and finally thought maybe they fell out of my pocket when I opened the door for Mary to get out.  Indeed, on the passenger side between the seat and the center console, there they were.  Note to self:  Make sure keys are stuff way down in my pocket!

Time for bed.  I am ready for a good night’s sleep!
