Goodbye Turkey; Hello Pounds!

Q: What did the turkey say to the computer?
A: Google, google, google!

We checked our front page and we have been retired now 4,263 days (or 11 Years, 8 Months, and 1 Day) so we give thanks to that! Really, after we hear from Robin, about what is going on!

So much to be happy about!

On a serious note, we are happy that this year is behind us and the medical situations appear to be on the wane!  We are looking forword to a great new year with golf, dancing, and travel being the plan!

Join us today for the celebration! We are celebrating at Old Ranch Country Club.

Great friends!

A couple of snaps reveal the fun we had enjoying the celebration and each other! But visit out Thanksgiving Site to see them all!

Robin does her Vanna White look-alike sans the walking around!

Dat be us!

What? Can’t be?  Someone snapped our picture!  We were actually really here! OMG… It’s a holiday miracle!

Love birds!

Just a few of us… See our website to see who all was here today!

Awaiting the turkey!

Every year we get someone new to carve the turkey and this year it was Craig Goll.  He had never done it before but he took our advice and watched how to on You Tube…it worked as his carving was excellent.

We did have “an incident” as Nita was showing Craig which piece she wanted and the knife slipped…nothing fatal just a small slice in the finger.  I forgot to tell Craig that I had recently sharpened the knives…just before we came over!

Marianne provided moral support to “The Slasher”!

We got to take the centerpieces home so Nita, Robin, and Irene got theirs.

Ah haw!  Flower girls!

Leaving Old Ranch and heading home for a quick stop, the Sun provided a magnificent showing. The trees even made it more dramatic.  As I pulling around the corner of the bag drop there were about six cameras going snapping the beautiful colors!

Perfect ending to a perfect day

But…too make it more perfect, we stopped by Amy and Joe’s and and sat around with the gang for about three hours! They had just finished dinner as we arrived…texting provides for perfect arrival times!

While I was minding when this Angel appeared in front of me with her famous “Thanksgiving Assortment” meaning all sorts of pies and goodies.  As she turned to wing her way back to the kitchen, a squirt of whipped cream was added for the piece’ de resistance!  Yep!  Gonna call her “Angel Amy” from now on!

Joe offered my chopsticks as he often heard me say “Anything eaten with chopsticks is calorie free”

We got home about 9:00 PM as Amy and Joe are only 11 miles distant!  We watched some TV and crashed at 11:00 PM.  It was a good day!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
