Laid Back And Lovin’ It!

It’s A Fact: Another World’s Oldest Man has died. This is beginning to look suspicious.

Paul headed out this morning bright and early at 8:30 AM completing four more miles for a total of 640 miles…only 90 miles more to go in the next eight weeks…should be easy! Question is, can he do 1000 miles in a year?  That means 2.7 miles a day!

Off to Ralph’s for a bog of goodies and this time, Paul stuffed the shopping bag into his front pocket so if it decided to abandon ship, it would be noticed!

The rest of Sunday was time to relax. Paul was beginning to get a toothache  as he had put off a tooth extraction and a root canal for almost a year…the time was filled with Sue getting better and the hand surgery…poor excuse but alas, that’s what happened!

We got a text from the Chartier’s and Pete now has a new pet…at forst we were so excited.  New hose, new garden, new pet, wow!  Then we go the picture…Pete named him “Fuzzy Wuzzy”…wonder why?

Pete’s new pet seems to be hungry all the time!

We watched a movie on Netflix called “Like Father” which was good and bad. In summary: A workaholic woman who is left at the altar takes her honeymoon trip anyway, joined by her overachieving father, who left her mother because he believed his family was holding back his career. Kelsey Grammer and Kristen Bell have good chemistry. The story is simple and meaningful, about connecting with people.

The bad part, three or four placers they dropped in terrible cursing for NO REASON.  I mean, come one, the daughter uses very foul language out of the blue…she turns an otherwise experienced professional woman into a trashy foul-mouthed spoiled child.  Not a movie you would recommend to your family to see and certainly one that is uncomfortable seeing in mixed company!  Too mad!

Nice story,,,good acting…totally out of character language!

The rest of the day we stick close to the house, doing some small chores, watching NCIS, and relaxing!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
