The Mid-Week Blues…

Think About It: The things that come to those who wait, may be the things left by those who got there first.

There was nothing else to do so I walked four miles this morning.  The hand is a little tender so gardening and working in the shop is out of the question.  So, to Ralph’s Market I headed.  I did some shopping and had NO idea how much two large bags of cherries, a box of kiwi’s, four avocado’s, two large boxes of blue berries, and a can of chopped jalapeño peppers weighed until I got home.

Filled it to over-flowing!

Notice my path today… well, when I got to the one le point I realized my paid-for grocery bad was gone, fallen from my pocket!  I decided to walk on to the market and then retrace my steps coming home.  I could the bad six doors down from my home!  Next time, it gets stuffed tighter into my pocket!

Paul does the thirty minute mile

The flowers were beautiful…I kept thinking it is time to go to Hawaii but going to feel the earthquakes and smell the steam and sulfur fro the lava didn’t seem too cool and idea.

Can’t pass up a beautiful flower

After getting home, Sue worked on cleaning up the wound, soaking it in hydrogen peroxide, and covering it with oil and a gauze bandage.  I have the best nurse in town!

We kept the boo-boo under wraps!

I completed the Starlighter’s Dance Club Website from Saturday’s dance and was delighted to hear from Holly thanking me for the work…few people realize that putting up the pictures involves going through each one (sometimes 300 pictures), cropping them adjusting the lighting, and finally putting them on an HTML page with a caption and then adding some “fun things” to break up the story.  It usually takes about 6-8 hours and sometimes even more time.  Nice to hear from someone that the effort is appreciated!  Thanks to Holly!!! You made me smile!

Bill & Holly – Happy makers!

We got all cleaned up by 3:00 PM awaiting our cleaning people but finally at 5:00 PM I called them and they were running real late…so, they are coming tomorrow.  We were ready to go somewhere so we went to Patty’s Place and visited uncle Chuck.  I had a big pork chop (well, a third of one) and one quarter of a twice baked potato.  Keeping my tiny body below 195 pounds is a fight!

Delicious and so juicy!

We returned home to watch some more NCIS before crashing at 11:00 PM.  I stayed up past midnight working on some computer issues like firing up the “brand  new” PC with Windows 10 and getting the software updated!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
