Continuing Adventures Of Bob & Paul:
Bob and Paul were sitting on a bench under a tree when one turns to the other and says: ‘Paul, I’m 74 years old now and I’m just full of aches and pains. I know you’re about my age. How do you feel?’ Bob says, ‘I feel just like a newborn baby.’ ‘Really!? Like a newborn baby!?’ ‘Yep. No hair, no teeth, and I think I just wet my pants.’
So today is a special day for Great Granddaughter Lilly… She is having a 4th birthday party! We were invited so we dropped by on our way to the GG Elks. Paul’s estranged daughter was there but all went well, we continued NOT to talk! Sue, the gracious person she is, did have a short conversation with her.
The bunnies and chickens are doing well. They get four fresh eggs a day…not too bad! It’s getting time for us to do the same! Connor was there with his lady and he seemed to enjoy swinging Lilly!
Time to light up the cake! All the lighters came out but, thank goodness, they were hard to find as our family has given up cigarettes!
Note: Next year get longer lighters…these are knuckle burners. The cake was beautiful and it was homemade by Zack’s beautiful bride, Becca! Our grandson definitely has a keeper there!
Here comes ol’ windy! Lilly is getting pretty good about this! Next year she will have a little brother! Birthdays all summer.
After the party, which we left a little early, we headed to the Garden Grove Elks where we met up with a “reduced gang”. Paul had the swordfish again and it was terrific…juiciest fish he has ever had. Tonight, Paul ordered a baked potato and it was also cooked perfectly!
We danced and visited until after 10:00 PM and then headed home to watch a little TV before counting sheep!
