It’s “Hump Day”… But We Are Retired, No Humping!

Perks of reaching 60 or being over 70 and heading towards 80!
1. Kidnappers are not very interested in you.
2. In a hostage situation you are likely to be released first.
3. No one expects you to run–anywhere.
4. People call at 8 PM and ask, “Did I wake you?”
5. People no longer view you as a hypochondriac.
6. There is nothing left to learn the hard way.
7. Things you buy now won’t wear out.
8. You can eat supper at 5 PM .
9. You can live without sex but not your glasses.
10. Your supply of brain cells is finally down to manageable size.
11. You can’t remember who sent you this list.
12. And you notice these are all in Big Print for your convenience.

We did chores around the house and Sue helped Paul make breakfast this morning.  After breakfast, we got cleaned up and headed to Laguna Beach to visit our financial advisor where we had papers to sign and get notarized.  We departed the house about 2:00 PM and returned at approximately 5:00 PM.

Paul made dinner which meant getting out Teri’s “award winning” split pea soup which was most awesome!  We did dinner and then watched our favorite movie, The American President”.  Even though Annette Bening is a flaming liberal, she did a good job acting in her role.

Great movie… To bad they mentioned political parties in the script!

Vicky and Irene dropped by after their Valentine’s Day dinner at the Park Avenue Steakhouse which they thought was horrible.  We watched Gray’s Anatomy for a while and finally crashed at 11:30 PM.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
