Six Days Until Santa Comes!

Were did the year go?  Paul did his walk this morning and it was pretty uneventful.  This season he has walked almost every street in Rossmoor and tomorrow he has to get out the map and plan the walk so as to his the remainders.  Join the fun

Since November Paul has walked about 70 miles in the mornings which is not too bad for al ol’ geezer of 73… Hey, almost a mile for every year!

You do see the strangest things as you walk through the hood!

No kidding… It was in the high 40’s upon departure

In the afternoon, Sue and Paul took a walk with Sue leading the parade.  We did about 30 minutes around the short block in an attempt to get Sue up and at it again!  We are going to walk together every day after Paul talks a longer jaunt!

We stopped by Old Ranch to make some final arrangement for New Years Eve as we are throwing a “get together” this year.  Previous years the club has had parties but mostly for the younger set.  This year, we made arrangements for the dining room for our family and friends and we got a nine piece band called Nine Carat Gold to play dance music all evening!  Old ranch is doing a band up job for us.

After that we headed to Orange and met with Jan Mongel for dinner.  We had a delightful time laughing and giggling and an occasional cry for our missing friends.  We dined at the Da Bianca Trattoria in Orange!  Small but the food was excellent! It was a special evening.  We did miss Jan and Brian Finch this evening as Brian was a bit under the weather!

Excellent food and a nice wine list – Cakebread for all!

Paul did the Ciopinno and it was outstanding!

Home we go and we watched  “Fuller House”.  We crashed about midnight!  Life is good.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
