Leftovers & Dancing

Leftovers?  Yes, Paul had one additional motion activated security lamp remaining so he decided to take care of the side of the garage.  Often, Paul walks the side of the house to go to the garage to get something out of the frig or freezer.  Carefully treading one’s way is a challenge but no more.  When he peeps his head near the side-door entrance to the garage, he is blinded with 1.7 million lumens of light… Well. perhaps only 2,000 lumens!  Works great.

Did You Know? The lumen (symbol: lm) is the SI derived unit of luminous flux, a measure of the total quantity of visible light emitted by a source. Luminous flux differs from power (radiant flux) in that radiant flux includes all electromagnetic waves emitted, while luminous flux is weighted according to a model (a “luminosity function”) of the human eye’s sensitivity to various wavelengths. Lumens are related to lux in that one lux is one lumen per square meter.

A 100W light bulb of yesteryear is about 1,600 lumens!

Electrical work done, we hoped into transition mode; from work duds to tuxedo and gown!  We are off to Nightlighters Dance Club  at LAX for the “Dancing In A Winter Wonderland” theme!  Wyall Haupt was there and the music was fantastic! Join the dance!

The traffic was non-existent so we made it in 45 minutes!

Ready to dance!

We danced one dance and somehow Sue picked up some gum that deposited itself on her shoe.  We took about six steps and thought it was her foot… It was, but only because of the sticky-stuff.  The bartender was great, pocket knife to the rescue!

We had many members and some guests this evening.  Always fun to meet new people!

Great club with many nice people!

The Minions seem to always be around to night was no different.  Nice little critters!

The came along for the ride

We headed home arriving about 11:30 PM.  Yes, the security lights worked like a champ!  We made it from car to house without a hitch and without having to find a switch!

To the TV for some Friends before crashing.  One season to go and then we have to find another series to watch!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
