Sunday Was A Blurrrrrr

We went to church with Vicky and then headed for the Newport Harbor Elks to dance between 1:00 and 4:00 with Marianne and Craig plus Herb and Irene.

We zapped Herb,,,, Always a good thing!

We found an old picture of him!

From the Elks we went to Old Ranch and had a dinner dance with our friends… We closed the place down around 9:30 after laughing all evening.

Donna and Bob were back from their six month vacation

We were there....

We got home early enough to watch a movie so we selected a Jimmy Stewart (1908–1997) gem entitled “Mr. Hobbs Takes A Vacation“.  The movie was released about the time PAul left High School, 1962. Summary: Mr. Hobbs wants to spend a quiet holiday at the beach, but his wife has invited all their family to stay with them.  Roger Hobbs is a harried city dweller who longs to take his family to the seashore for a vacation. He and his wife Peggy do get the family to the sand, but new problems develop there, and the vacation turns out to be a mixed blessing.

Simply a very nice movie... We need more like this!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
