Where did the day go??? We began, as always, with a quick garden tour and made a list of things for Carlos to take care of. I built the new planter and placed it behind Casa Valencia Vinyard.
The Vego Garden raised bed kits feature an innovative modular design, which means I can assemble a kit into various configurations that fit any backyard or garden space. In a 9-in-1 kit, I can build one of 9 possible configurations to fit your garden plans.
This is so neat; I plan to buy another one to fill some empty spaces in the south forty.
Robin stayed with us last night, and we sat around drinking coffee and walking the garden. Before Robin departed, we made up the menu for Mother’s Day, and Mary sent her home with some flowers from the garden.
We drove to Costco, picked up supplies for the party, and returned home to put them away—then off to the regular market for specialty items. Mary needed a pedicure, so I joined her; we are both pretty now.
As MAry often says:
Besides looking good, I get a 30 minute cap nap!
We had enough time to change clothes and race to Huntington Beach for dinner with friends at Vittorio’s Italian Restaurant, where we enjoyed the piano player.
Beverly and George joined the fray this evening. The trouble with eating Italian food is that five or six days later, you’re hungry again.
I tried a selfie, and our waitress got in the picture; we had a good laugh!
We arrived home at 10:00 pm, and I snapped goodbye pictures of the couches I have had for many years; we decided to go to theater seating since we have an 80″ TV on the wall in the TV (Living) Room.
We crashed soon afterward; today was busy.
