God Bless Our Coutry And Damn Be The Crazy Terrorists!

America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves.

I remember it well because I was up early and heard the news.  Quickly I called Joe and Colleen and then was glued to the TV for hours. I remember our country coming together and then so sad, being torn apart by the liberal left.

We were u[ early and had coffee with Robin.  The girls had a plan, and by 9:00 AM, they were off and running.

Coffee gets the heart started!

They planned to show up at the nail salon and sneak in between the no-shows!

Enjoying the patio!

Meanwhile, I watched the house because we were expecting our car wash guy, who was there at 10:00 AM.  He did both Lexus vehicles, and they looked great.  While they were out of the garage, I rearranged things and finally moved everything to the He Shed.

I also installed a laser guidance system for the cars.  The lasers mount on the ceiling and use a sound sensor attached to the garage door opener to activate.  The laser beam places a red line down onto the car and, when properly aligned, will place an “X” on the hood/dashboard, indicating exactly where the car should be in two axes!

It works great, especially when we try to ensure there is room to get into the cars when they are side by side.

I found them on Amazon and plan to get a second one this week!

Then our rain gutter man came by, and we have ordered rain gutters for the back and front of the house.  We did not go all the way across the front because we get into the cars from inside and do not have to walk in the rain!

Robin took off about noon, so we did some shopping at the local nursery.  We are going to plant several tea roses.

Did You Know? Tea roses were originally developed in China, and they were called “tea roses” because of the strong fragrance they produce, reminding the developers of tea as it is brewing.

Mary’s favorite is the Mr. Lincoln.  A very well-known hybrid tea. Long-pointed buds open into large, well-formed, long-stemmed, fully double, 4″ blooms (petals 24+) of deep red. The velvety texture of the bloom is almost unbelievable. ‘Mr. Lincoln has an outstandingly strong damask fragrance that seduces the senses. A vigorous, tall, upright continual blooming bush with dark green foliage.

Simply beautiful!

My favorite rose is the Julia Child. The fragrance of this rose is a delight to the senses having a mild licorice scent. Buttery golden yellow 4″ blooms (petals 20+) cover this continual blooming plant. Excellent in the flower bed or as a landscape specimen plant.

It looks like a pile of butter that Julia would use when she cooked!

We worked until 4:00 PM and took the rest of the day off, and watched movies on TV.  The house is coming together nicely and will be ready for the party, Dancing Under The Stars.

We ended up in the swim spa about 8:30 PM and watched the moon dance in the sky!  Good night all and to all a good night!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend.
