Da Week She Be Gone! Yeah Weekend!

The original point and click interface was a Smith and Wesson.

It’s Friday and that’s a good thing because we do not have to go to a doctor’s appointment!  First things first, the walk! It is December and I needed the December birthday card so I decided Rite Aid would be the destination!  I did some calculations and determined, based upon the December cards, which is a lite month for birthdays, we buy about $950/year in birthday cards! (December for example was $37 and that was for eight cards). Wow!

Chugging on down the avenue…  8,600 steps in the first 90 minutes of the day means I do an average of 12,000 steps a day!  Not too bad!

The hood is slowly getting decorated and one evening we will ride around taking snaps of the house lighting.  The one on the left needs to be blown-up so click on it to see the gold balls in the gold and green leaves!  The snake on the right is quite easy to spot!

We just love the fall colors and we have quite a lot of fall foliage on our neighborhood…not quite like back east but somewhat!

The leaves will be gone…only to return in Spring!

Returning home, we made brunch which was easy…leftovers!  I have to be careful because this time of the year the ol bathroom scale seems to delight in telling me I have gained weight again! This morning is yelled “207 Fatso!” without even cracking a smile!

In the afternoon, I worked in the shop.  Having gotten organized, I have boxes for all the loose items and I had a collection of things that needed to be put away so I worked about two hours putting things in their proper places…and listening to Dr. Laura on the radio!

She is just great… Says it like it is! We listen every day!

Later on in the afternoon Sue rested her back and I did some office work, arranging doctors appointments, doing cards, calling for reservation in Catalina, finalizing seating for the Christmas Play…all the “boring but necessary” things!

We watched a romantic movie before getting cleaned up to got to the GG Elks to meet with friends! I cannot dance as the rotator cuff hurts like hell if I left mu left arm up so dancing is difficult.  We yakked with the Zaitz, Branders, and Bob & Sandy for a couple of hours.  Terry Brent put on the show and it was really pretty good!

I had some halibut and it was really pretty darn good…I was supposed to take 1/2 of it home but alas, my moth and arms were working so well together I looked down and it was gone…empty plate…nada!  I hope the bathroom scale lies to be tomorrow!

Returning home, we watched a movie and then a sitcom having some tookies along the way.  We crashed at 11:15 PM.  I worked on the websites for another 45 minutes while Sue finished off another book!

Tomorrow is December!  Yeah!  Christmas is officially on its way!

I checked, it is NOW officially December 1st… I went to bed at 12:15 AM

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend.
