The Week Is Half Way Gone!

Observation Of The Day:  Man in a hot air balloon is lost over Iowa. He looks down and sees a farmer in the fields and shouts to him, where am I? The farmer looks back up and shouts back.
You’re in a basket you dumb shit!

We were up early today for some reason?  Must be because it is Wednesday?  Paul decided to go for a walk and listed to Rush while walking.  Today it as 2 miles in almost an hour… Sue was hungry and Paul decided to shorten the trip by a little bit!

Time for a walk

Along the walk Mother Nature just delights those who open their eyes to be beauty surrounding us!  Bad new in the newspapers but wonderfully amazing news on the streets where we live!

Beauty along the walk

Rossmoor (Los Alamitos) is quite conservative and patriotic… They are always many flags handing on display.

Love our hood… Quite patriotic

So why Paul?  The St. Patrick’s Day decorations are still around and Paul was thinking to himself, “Why would I go with a pot of gold?”.  Assuming all the space in the pot was filled, the pot would hold 271.36 ounces of gold that would be worth $427,000 based on today’s prices of gold of around $1,575 an ounce. Of course, if you had just bought gold as an investment a few years ago, you also could have struck it rich.

Ah ha… At a distance Paul spotted a suspicious black pot and thought, “At last, rich!”… After sneaking up on the pot (so as NOT to scare any Leprecahn’s) Paul discovered the pot contained a hose… Bummer!  Not he has to mentally give back his new car and other goodies!

Leprecahn’s get a pot of gold… Paul finds a Pot of Hose!

On the final lap,

Our kumquat tree is overloaded!

We had a wonderful lunch from the last of our left-overs before settling in for a couple of episodes of Grey’s Anatomy.  About 3:00 PM we got cleaned up as we are going to  Old Ranch while our cleaning folks are here.  They were right on schedule arriving at 3:30 PM and departing at 5:00 PM.

We returned home and got ready to go to Jan Mongels’ tonight joining the Finch’s to celebrate Brian and Jan’s return to the US.  We celebrate with champagne and pretzels.  We are introducing them to alcohol-free champagne.  We sat around from 6:00 PM to almost 11:00 PM just laughing and giggling about life!

Brian always has a long story to tell and tonight we relived him breaking his back after falling from his patio 40 feet onto the ground below… It was NOT funny them but the story has a life of its own and has humorous sections new!

Great friend – Great fun!

We headed home and ran into some rain but not too bad.  Arriving home at 11:30 PM we watched one more episode of Grey’s before crashing!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
