Busy Around The House

Sue is still under the weather so Paul again did “chores” around the house.  Today was work in the garden day so he went plant by plant and decided who stays and who goes.  The Cauliflower has pretty much had it so it went bye bye.  A quick trip to H&H brought back shelling peas and strawberries plus some potatoes. They got planted and are ready to begin the 60 path to our tummies.

Paul listened to the radio again and just scratches his head when the crazies start their attacks on Trump.  You must think they are the same people who have invented more genders?

I’ll never understand the liberal “mind”

Paul turned the soil in the front yard readying it for summer planting and added fertilizer to several of the fruit trees as we expect blooms almost anytime!  Seems like a simple task but one must removed the mulch from under the trees, dig into the dirt about six inches, apply the fertilizer, and then recover the ground with mulch.

He also trimmed the orange trees from around the front gate as they were encroaching on the walkway.  He almost filled a 100 gallon trash can with the clippings.  While there, we replaced the remaining yard lights with LED’s removing the earlier version of low-energy lights from their locations and substituting the latest LED versions. We can light up the entire yard, all ten lights, using 100 watts where before it was almost 1,000 watts!

We thought about going out this afternoon but Sue was not up to it… We stayed home and in fact Sue never left the bedroom after lunch.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
