Sunday… Time To Play

A house that does not have one worn, comfy chair in it is soulless. ~May Sarton

We lounged around in the morning doing some picking in the garden and Sue did some magical cooking for breakfaast.  Fresh blueberries are fantastic this time of year… Strawberries a close second!

We headed to Newport Harbor to do some dancing and catch up with Hans and Kerstin.

It was “Super Sunday” where they pick names out of a hat (every Sunday you go there you can fill in a slip of paper with your name on it and every few months   they draw names and prizes are won… hopefully!)

Kerstin won the first drawing returning with a beautiful smile and a bottle of lillac water!  She said it was 60 proof!

Kerstin was pleased until she found out Hans wanted to us it on his head!

We continued to talk while they tried to find another name of someone that was here and then like magic, voila… We heard “Paul Liles”…

We didn’t know we had a slip in the hopper.  Paul won a fresh $100 bill!

Around four-ish we took off to meet up with Bunnaford to welcome her home.  She had been in China  traveling with Angie and some other folks! We also met up with Teri & Shaun and James & Linda.  We had a few drinks and a lot of giggling before heading for home.

We then headed for home to watch a movie and catch up on our TV programs.  Life is indeed good!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
