The pumpkin is now over the gate and running down the block wall. It has turned the corner and is heading to the front gate! We have nine pumpkins so far!

After returning home, we headed for the Santa Ana Elks to support Roy and Ed for membership! That took almost three hours! So then we went VFR to the dance hall at Cypress and we closed the place down!

Another Leisurely Day
Posted on July 29th, 2010 No commentsWell, we started with the tread mill at 6:00 am and completed at 6:30. Needed a 15 minute cool down. Hit the garden at 6:45 am and filled 200 gallons in clippings and dead plants. We then headed for Old Ranch for a leisurely 18 holes of golf finishing up on 19 with a glass of wine! After feeding the babies, we headed for the Phoenix Club so we could dance from 7-10:30. Then home!

These little guys (8 pounds each so far...) are about 8 feet in the air and the vine continues to grow!

OC Fair On Saturday Morning
Posted on July 17th, 2010 No commentsWe decided to go to the fair today instead of opening day! It was a good choice. Please join us!

Posted on July 15th, 2010 No commentsWhat a beautiful day in Los Angeles. It was in the 80′s but the ocean breeze kept things perfect. We had blue skies and met a new friend from another club. We had our obligatory drink on the 19th before heading to the Phoenix Club to dance with 75 of our friends… Like doesn’t get better than this!

18 Holes With The Old Ranch Ducks
Posted on July 7th, 2010 No commentsSue and Marty played 18 holes and the ducks just loved it…. Ducks were following us all over!
Remember: The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another’s desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together. ~Erma Bombeck

It’s July 4th! Yeah America!!!
Posted on July 4th, 2010 No commentsWe got up and went to church and we had a 20 minutes (between the services) “God and Country Sunday” where everybody sang patriotic songs right from our hymnal! Not a dry eye in the house… You gotta love the older generation! After church we went VFR to Newport Beach Elks and danced and had a snack (hamburger) at the Newport Beach Elks Lodge. Join the fun!
After dancing we headed home for a quick stop so we could visit and feed the babies! They were happy to see us! We pulled out the van, dusted it off and the Cathey’s and Kuhn’s joined us for a drive to the Queen Mary where we dined at Sir Winston’s and watched the famous Queen Mary fireworks. Frankly after last night at Old Ranch, the Queen’s fireworks were a bit disappointing!
