We Call It Family Day! They Call It The Christmas Play!

“There are three stages of man: he believes in Santa Claus; he does not believe in Santa Claus; he is Santa Claus.” — Bob Phillips

The day we wait for every year! We invite family and friends to the Annual Christmas Play at the Candlelight Dinner Theater in Claremont! (In fact, we are going December 12th next year; the reservations are already made).

Today we have 84 in our group ranging from family to neighbors, dancing friends, and of course, three of our favorite bartenders and their families! We will get pictures from a professional in about two weeks, but here are a couple of the ones we took as snapshots. When they arrive, we will post them our Christmas 2019 Website.

Sue and Robin

We have great seats right down front!

Every table is right up front!

Families and friends get a great start to the holidays.

Charlie, Michele, Alex, and Tony. Our son’s children and their grandparents.  Joe’s in-laws are lovely people who we enjoy.

Many others join us, including our dancing friends.  Mary was added to the crowd this year and was a hit at table 403.  She sat with Nancy (our 20-year dancing friend), Lee and the daughter and granddaughter (Lee was my high school sweetheart), Lisa and Chuck (our Patty’s Place bartender), and Irene (the life of the party!!)

All eyes are on Mary (an inside joke)

Santa was reading the kids Christmas list when were heard a scream and a horrible sound right in our area:

Joe nearly passed out!

After the photos, we departed about 4:00 PM, and we drove Nancy to her granddaughter’s house for a party that was already underway!

We went home and hade some wine and watched “Another Christmas Kiss.”  Summary: At a Christmastime event, Jenna shares an impromptu, unforgettable kiss with the dashing billionaire, Cooper Montgomery. Unaware of his intentions and fearful of getting hurt in another relationship, Jenna vows to resist his charms but begins to realize his affection is real as the two spend more time together.

We crashed at about 10:00 PM; it has been quite a day! Tomorrow we are going to be with Colleen and Mark doing something they have planned but won’t tell us!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
