President’s Day… God Bless President Trump!

We decided to simply relax today!  We stayed at home until cabin fever got us!  We departed early and went to Main Street Seal Beach and visited “My Italian Kitchen”. It’s a tiny and cozy restaurant with super food and service!  We had a glass of wine and their goat cheese and arugula flat bread plus Paul had a bowl of soup.

Great place to dine in Seal Beach

Then we were off to Malarkeys to meet up with Irene and a good time we did have!  In the middle of our visit, we got a panic call from the grandkids… Their baby dog, Logan, was seriously ill.  She had a “twisted stomach” meaning she could not function and was going to die soon if something was not done.   Vets are pretty expensive but we told then “do want has to be done”… We will work out the details later!  We learned that Jeanette and Peanut also said “details later”…  They are both great mommy’s and grand mommy’s!

Poor baby… She gots a boo boo and no fur in the dead of winter!

After the operation, she needed to be cared for 24×7 for a few days!  She should be home by Thursday evening.

We headed home and did our thing getting updates on Logan throughout the evening.  Doggies are just like kids. They are an important part of the family!

The final report was about 11:00 PM!  We watched some NCIS before crashing for the evening.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
