Rain Rain Rain And Our Grandson Gets Married

The storm hit about 2:30 PM and it came down in buckets… We even had a leak in the bathroom! Our roof is about 6 years old.  We assume that the fierce winds blew water into the roof at some weird angle and that caused the problem.

We had a Topper’s Dance tonight and we still plan to go although we expect many to be no-shows!   The storm was pretty fierce and some of the folks have to travel in from Garden Grove, Anaheim and points south!   Join the fun!

A Tribute For Who Braved The Storm!

When we got home, the power was off…. Love it!  Paul fired up the 10KW generator we keep in the garage, ran an extension cord into the house, and we had heat and light plus radio!

Meanwhile 2500 miles away, our oldest grandson gets married.

Jon and Sarah are married

The generator was a little loud so we closed the garage door about 90% of the way and that made it tolerable.  We had plenty of power and could have run the house all night! We enjoyed a glass of wine and waited until about 11:30 when the power returned!

Yes… We watched Cheers until about 12:15 and then crashed!  Go Generator!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
