We Worked All Day

I worked in the woods as a lumberjack, but I couldn’t hack it, so they gave me the ax.

Mary worked inside, and I worked in the garage.  She did come out and go through four cabinets of goodies.  I made a haul to the Salvation Army and snapped a photo on the way back.

On the mountain top, she can see for miles!

We continued working all over the house.  The packers come Monday at noon, and the movers come Tuesday morning.  Then we repeat the process next week; that is known as phase two!  We do have some work ahead of us.

We are packing some special items and transporting them down the hill early.

Around six, we declared victory but were too tired to cook, so I went to Polly’s Pies and got dinner for us and two pies for tomorrow’s celebration at Joe’s house.

We hit the hot tub after watching an average Bruce Willis action adventure.  By 9:00 PM, we were crashed because tomorrow is MORE WORK and then celebrating with Joe and family in La Mirada.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
