Busy Day; Our First Setback

I am busier than a one-legged man in a butt-kickin’ contest.

Up early, I worked around the house for a while.  Mary called when she was on her way to work.  She had a half-day, so we decided to meet at Rockwell’s for lunch before going to the proposed new house.

We went to the new house and met up with Sydney and Joe, my son, the geologist.  The visit was nice but the news not so good.  The foundation is settling and has settled 3+ inches in some areas.  That means we will have to do an expensive foundation repair.

There is a three inch drop between the left and right sides of the house. The question is how much more?We returned home a little sad, but we have other places to visit tomorrow.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
