Wednesday We worked Our Collectives Tails Off

Some people say the glass is half full. Some people say the glass is half empty. Engineers say the glass is twice as big as necessary.

We were up early and began checking off things on the list, the three-page list!  We began in the living room, removing pictures, patching holes, and working around the furniture.

My china closet(s) were stuff to the gills with “stuff.”  The picture below reveals the china closet after the de-cluttering activity. We filled three or four boxes with “stuff each item bubble-wrapped.  The closet now looks empty, but we kept Sue’s Grandmother’s china service.

Sue’s Grandmother’s tea service circa 1900.

We took a break at 1:00 PM and went to the Fish Company with Vicky and Ed.  All three of us have lost our spouses recently, and we have been friends for a hundred years.

Just little ol us!

We got back to work at 2:30 PM after going to Lowe’s to get some more boxes.  We worked until 8:00 PM and could not move anymore. We got the kitchen completed and the master bathroom, which was a battle.

Good night Gracie; Good night George!  Z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z-z

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
