What’s the difference between baseball and politics? In baseball you’re out if you’re caught stealing!
Today we do some errands and rest before the big dance tonight. I have to send out a reminder about New Years Eve. This season keeps us busy as we have so many activities requiring coordination with family and friends.
The Christmas Play is getting finalized and I think we have 80 people going with us…New Years looks like a hundred will be joining us again at Old Ranch for a rousing evening of dining and dancing!
We did some chores around the house before departing at 1:00 PM for the Cerritos Performing Arts Center to see “In The Mood”.
Much more than a concert, In the Mood is an inspiring celebration of American history and culture. This acclaimed tribute to the Swing era returns to the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) just in time for Veterans Day on Sunday, November 11, 2:00 PM.

During a time when the United States was in the midst of war, Swing was the music that united a nation and gave Americans hope. A jazzy homage to the 1940s Swing age, IN THE MOOD features singers, dancers, and the sensational String of Pearls Big Band Orchestra. The show features period costumes, choreographed dance routines, and a litany of yesteryear hits such as Swingin’ on a Star, Tuxedo Junction, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Sing Sing Sing, Chattanooga Choo Choo, La Vie En Rose, and The Last Time I Saw Paris.
As World War II gripped the country, Swing tunes drew record crowds and helped boost the nation’s morale with songs and dancing that combined up-tempo Big Band rhythms and mellow intimate ballads. This was a period like no other in America’s history, a time when music moved the country’s spirit.
We departed a bout ten minutes early to head for Old Ranch where we met up with he gang for another three hours of great music and dancing!
We were pleasantly surprised by having Charlotte join our gang for dinner and she was, as expected, a great addition to the group! She even did the ten-step polka!
Mike was with us tonight and he is always a good model to try out new camera features!
Returning home about 9:30 PM, we watched some TV and then crashed as I have my annual physical tomorrow morning at8:00 AM!
