“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.”
Off for the morning walk but today it was after breakfast. Sue was hungry! Paul made some bite-sized potatoes using potatoes, olive oil, and Lipton Onion Dip mix. Good groceries!
Today was an hour and 20 minutes as we took a little longer path. Paul was on the phone waiting for Disneyland to answer. It is time to buy the annual passes for the Linds. We love to see the pictures of Zack, Becca, and Lily at Disneyland!
The pace was quick…Paul speeding down the street with the sound of air swooshing behind him and then, for no apparent reason, the sign appeared. Being a good Buy Scout, Paul was prepared!
The walk, in the Spring, always yields amazing flowers and this on, in particular, was a standout.
Returning home it was to the back yard and the task was to put the finishing touches on the Blueberry cage! It is done! It is 18′ by 6′ by 6′! Every piece is 6′ exactly so next year we will have no puzzled looks when the kit comes out!
Random Memories: Paul’s Dad passed in 1970 and Paul wonders if he would have ever thought that the power tools could become cordless? Battery technology in the 1970’s was pretty basic. Just making this silly cage was so simple as the drill and the reciprocating saw were cordless, was cordless… no dragging power cords all around the yard!
The closeup of the join reveals why it was easy to put together. Paul even “oiled” the joins so they would slide off without effort. The plastic netting is used to keep the joins from wiggling loose.
Inside the cage, the Blueberries are secure from the mouths of the pesky birds! The birds are going to be pissed this year when they try to fly over the berries and scoop them up! Cage, 1; Birds, 0!
Today is Friday and the third Friday of the month so that means it is time for Toppers! We headed to Toppers at 5:00 PM and got there at 5:13 PM, zero traffic!
Great fun with friends. We drank the while evening and the bar tab was $3.31. This abstention form alcohol is paying off as normally it would have been closed to $100 in previous years!
We watched the last of our “Los In Space” series and now hope they renew it for next season.
