Walking… A Good Thing To Do!

With Sue’s foot on the mend, it is time to walk as much as possible!  This morning, Paul was off like a shot strutting right on down the avenue.  Join the walk!

Everything is pretty in the bright morning sunshine!

Sue made a wonderful lunch.  How she can turn the take home from restaurants into such amazing meals is, indeed, amazing!  Now all of our Indian (Himalayan) food is gone!

Then came WORK!  Eek!  That horrible word!  Sue and Paul hit the kitchen right after Paul went to the garden and picked a mess of shelling peas, loads and loads of Swiss chard, beets, and baby zucchini!  You might think… Easy Peazy… Not so much!  We cleaned, washed, prepped and cooked for four plus hours.

At the end of the day we had containers full of the freshest veggies for tomorrows meals! Right out of the garden the Swiss chard is so fresh you have to slap it before you eat it!

Sue all of a sudden is transformed while in the kitchen

We got cleaned up and headed to Old Ranch for a glass of wine with Bunnaford before going to the Phoenix Club.

Yesterday, Paul’s old Canon 60D crapped out… Well, the camera acted funny.  After hours of troubleshooting, he thought maybe the memory stick was intermittent.  We stopped at CVS Pharmacy and got a new 16GB SD Card and voila, like magic, the camera returned to life!

We enjoyed Old Ranch for about 45 minutes and then off to the Phoenix Club for dancing.  The Finches, Roberts, Zaitz, and others joined us this evening for loads of fun! Join the group!

Most importantly, Sue got to dance and she did wonderfully.  We danced about five dances as Paul wanted to take it easy her first time out!

Time to head for home!  We watched a little NCIS New Orleans and then two episodes of Cheers.  We crashed at 1:00 AM!

Our video surveillance and alarm system is working well.  We got notified of activity in the back yard and indeed there was!  The neighborhood pussycat was out and about!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
