Back In Town Again!

Estimated reading time: 3 minutes

We woke up at 7:00 am, walked through the garden, and ran errands.  I had an appointment with my cardiologist, Ty Cobb (not the baseball player), who ordered several tests and scheduled me for a 5-day, 24-hour monitor.  He wasn’t too concerned about my occasional heart palpitations.

After leaving the doctor’s office, we went to the second floor for a chest X-ray.

After our doctor’s appointment, we stopped for lunch at In-N-Out and then went to the market to restock the kitchen.

Mary worked inside the house while I filled the remaining space of the two 90-gallon trash cans outside.

At 6:00 pm, Mary sent me to the garden to get large zucchini, tomatoes, and basil.  I chopped vegetables while Mary arranged them on the mini pizzas she made with our overgrown zucchini.

Mary put on the tomato sauce over the olive oil-covered zucchini slices.

The size of the zucchini was perfect for small “pizzas.”  It is an ideal use for the zucchinis that get away and grow huge.

Back to work!

The pre-oven pizzas looked fantastic, almost like Christmas time.  Mozzarella cheese, olives, fresh basil, and tomatoes are spread over the sliced zucchini.

Delicious!

We chatted with Colleen and Robin and then took the delicious, low-calorie pizzas out of the oven.

While talking to Robin, I tested our connection speed and asked Bob to test his side of the circuit as Robin was dropping out.  We finally called her on her cell phone using the Alexa app, which worked fine.

It’s fast in Orange!

We hung up with the kids and polished off four of these little pizzas with vigor; they were terrific.  We called Dianne and told her we would come by tomorrow and drop off four for her and David.

What are you if you can’t decide what kind of pizza to get? You’re indeSLICEsive.

Dinner time!

Why was it so easy to catch the guy who stole the pizza? His plan wasn’t very well thawed out.

We turned on the TV and got lost in the world of “Suits.” It’s such a captivating show with an intricate plot that keeps you on your toes. The characters are all so unique and quirky, which adds to the humor and charm of the series. We ended up binge-watching four episodes, and the time just flew by. It was such a fun and enjoyable experience!

t 11:00 p.m., I went to bed because I needed to hand up and put away the remaining laundry from the trip and unpack my suitcases so the cleaning staff could do their job tomorrow. It was a long day and I was exhausted, but I knew it was important to tidy up before the cleaning staff arrived. I made sure everything was in its proper place and then climbed into bed, ready for a good night’s sleep.
