Today was easy! We were up and working in the office while also getting ready for Girls’ Night Out at the lodge. The regulars were there except for Will and Iris.
We have two funnies to share.
Last month, Owen came to visit with his mommy and daddy. He and I hit it off; after all, we are close in age, “mentally.” He is two, and I am (almost) eighty-two, so that is close. Anyway, he visited his other uncle this past weekend,d and we got his message from Hannah:
“We just visited my Aunt Alta and Uncle Jack (my dads aunt and uncle) and Owen kept calling uncle Jack “Paul” like he thinks all uncles are named Paul now ?? it was really funny, I guess you made quite an impression on him!!”
While we were on vacation, I realized I hadn’t sent Owen a drum set like I did his cousin! So I went to the laptop and selected a drum set for the little guy. (The Devil made me do it!)
It was delivered, and Mommy and Daddy put it together. Well, Mary and I got another message from his parents:
“Omg hahahaha drum set received ??? Owen thanks you but we do not!!”
One of his first performances was at 2:00 am! Listen and giggle.
He loves the lights and, according to Mom, really gets into playing around 2:00 am!
It’s so nice to be a) a great-uncle and b) live five hours away!!!
