T-1; Wrapping Things Up!

Amen

Bags to the left of me; bags to the right of me; bags are attacking me!

We packed 99% of our things but still needed some last-minute items.  Therefore, we went to South Coast Plaza and Macy’s.  Since we were hungry, I recommended the Royal Khyber to satisfy my craving for hot and spicy food.

Last-minute shopping at South Coast Plaza means Royal Khyber.

We spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and preparing for dinner with the Z’s at Renada’s, located at the Orange Circle.  Although Donna’s birthday was on the 2nd, work prevented us from celebrating it until this evening.

Happy Birthday Donna

Donna and Mary always give each other unique and intriguing gifts on their birthdays, and today will be no different.

Caution: It is wrapped carefully!

As Mary approached the shelf, the ceramic rooster suddenly leaped off and cried, “Bring me to Donna!”

Donna received a birthday cake that Bob and I ended up consuming since we’re not concerned about maintaining our feminine physiques.

Suddenly, Hurricane Donna came up, blowing icing off the cake and two tables down the aisle.  Bob and I ducked after pointing to Donna.

Go get it windy!

We are lucky to have such extraordinary ladies!

Our girls!

After considerable reflection, they are lucky also.  Lucky that are are no more uglier than we are!

Us guys!

After arriving home, we contacted Robin to arrange for pickup in the morning.  Later, we decided to swim at 10:00 pm and floated around for an hour until our fingers wrinkled.  After that, we went to bed, anticipating the big day ahead.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
