Into the potential Jaws Of Death I strode; yes, I decided to clean up my workbench. When I first looked int to he garage I thought we had been burgled; I could not see the desk. Then out of the corner of my eye (I didn’t know eyes had corners) I spotted a lef-handed screwdriver! Ah ha, I will start there!

Look quick; there is a workbench in the garage!
Not only that, I can walk from the house to the garage door without tripping over “stuff”. One of my resolutions is to organize this work area. I must find a place to store all the small hardware items but still be able to get to them when needed.

I can start another project!

We got there at 5:30 PM.
We rested at 3:00 PM and watched a new series called Fire Country.

This episode was entitled: “The Fresh Prince of Edgewater”
As a quick plot summary: For those familiar with cop/firefighter procedurals like “9-1-1,” “Fire Country” follows a similar format, mixing problem-of-the-week disasters with interpersonal drama. Max Thieriot, who grew up in the Bay Area and co-writes the show, plays Bode Donovan. Donovan has committed some felonies of the generally forgivable sort — he’s the protagonist and heartthrob, after all — and in an attempt to shorten his prison sentence, he volunteers for California’s inmate firefighting program. He’s sent to his hometown of Edgewood, which is a vaguely Humboldt-y place where almost everyone knows him and is not a fan of his checkered past. Wildfires, love triangles, and interminable conversations about one character’s Olympic diving career ensue.
At 5:15 PM, we headed south toward the Santa Elks, where DJ Ronnie was playing this evening. We had a table set aside for ten and had a super time. The music was wonderful, and the volume level was perfect, right at 75 dB!

We had eight at our table!
I overheard Bob saying, “Did you hear about the red cruise ship and the blue cruise ship that crashed into each other at sea? All the survivors were marooned.”
I decided to stay at my end of the table after that!

A lot of visiting went on!
We were having a great time sharing our meals and dancing. When the misses can’t decide between two choices, I make it easy…order both, and we will share.

Just us!
Vada and Jim, our neighbors, joined us this evening. So now we have two Jims and one Vicky! What to do! The two Jims had a lot in common and had quite a conversation!

Surrounded by Jim’s!
Between dances, we even got a chance to talk and giggle a lot!

That’s my girl!
We departed at about 9:30 PM. The dance was planned to go on for another 30 minutes, and we thought we would let Ronnie speed things up a bit for the younger crowd.
We were not tired, so we stopped at Aces Bar and Grill, had a glass of wine, and listened to our music on the jukebox. After that, we headed for Jan’s, arriving at about 10:00 PM. We shared this evening’s activities with Jan and had a good laugh!
Finally, we got home at about 10:45 PM and promptly crashed!
