We picked up Carri at Long Beach Airport and VFR’ed to Old Ranch for a leisurely lunch so we could catch up on everything! The afternoon was chores and time for Carri to rest before the evening adventure, dinner at Villa Nova and the Newport Harbor Boat Parade.
They were right on schedule passing up at 8:00 PM
We dined with Ernie, John and Monica and pretty much laughed the entire time. Great fun was had by all!
When we got home we saw a Christmas Movie entitled “The Night Before The Night Before Christmas“. Summary: Angela and Wayne Fox (Jennifer Beals and Rick Roberts) could not be more self-absorbed, workaholic parents. Their young children Hannah and Toby long for intimacy and family life the way it used to be. How improbably perfect that one night – without warning – Santa Claus crash lands into their home. Santa has a bad case of amnesia, so with the fate of Christmas resting in their hands, the Foxes will have to put other lives ahead of their own for a change in order to restore Santa and Christmas, just in the “Nick” of time!
