Fact: In the 1300s, it officially became a holiday associated with love. – At the end of the 5th century, Roman Pope Gelasius officially declared the date of February 14 “St. Valentine’s Day.” It wasn’t until the Middle Ages that the holiday became associated with love and romance. This tradition first started from the common belief in France and England that birds began their mating season on February 14.
We were up and going early this morning. We had an appointment at the local Ralph’s market! (Colleen gave us the idea, she is smart!!)
We worked around the house and made a trip to Mary’s accountant in Costa Mesa and then a fly-by to deliver Meals On Wheels to Bill.
We stopped at Home Depot and got a mess of flowers and vegetables on the return leg. Then we headed back to Ralph’s for necessities of life. We saw the sushi guy and remembered Jan lived the California Roll, so we got three sushi containers and went to Jan’s where we liberated some wine from its container!
We are ready to go to Seal Beach and have dinner with friends. Please visit our website, where the evidence is located!
You will have to see the website to see what I did, or didn’t do!
We departed at about 8:30 PM for home, and we were ready to crash! So much fun with super people. I wished that Colleen and Joe could have joined us.
Good night all!
