The Big Day (Part 1) Has Arrived!

Never laugh at your girlfriends’ choices… your one of them.

The packers and movers finally arrived at 9:30 AM, and they have a load of work to do.  I plan to take Scout the Wonder Dog to Casa Valencia, so he is out of the way, and there I can do a little prep work.  From 6:30 AM until they arrived, we did little jobs around Mary’s house.

The question is, which TV???

While awaiting the movers’ arrival, I took down the outside LED lamps on our gazebo, and Mary worked in the office cleaning out the file cabinets.   Mary and I have sixty years of stuff we collected together; now, we will have room because I ordered a duplicate of the shed you see below!

We will have more space in about ten days! I plan to paint one pink and one blue, so people know who’s is who’s!

The shed is almost full now, so I ordered a second one; we now have 240 square feet of storage available!

Once the moves/packers arrived, things started flying out the door! The dining room and living room are empty now, the attic is getting empty, and the bedrooms were moved right after lunch!

We bought the guys lunch with the proviso to bring back something for us; spicy for me and bland for Mary!   They brought a great meal; two tacos, a burrito, and an enchilada!  The hot sauce was indeed hot but not too bad.

We do a good job of reading each other!

Robin was coming over at 4:30 PM to arrange “Robin’s Nest”; her home away from home, but she had to see her sister instead.  At 4:00 PM, the first load was delivered to Casa Valencia, and a second trip was in progress.

The exercise room and garage are going next, and then we will rest until next week for the master bedroom, kitchen, office, and anything remaining from the first delivery.

Here comes Christmas and other holidays.

The garage is about to be filled!  You may never see the floor again.

Plenty of room, NOT!

To cheer Mary up, I asked, “What do you call it when a snake can’t shed its skin?”  Stepping back and preparing to run, I responded, “A reptile dysfunction!”

HELP! My tummy is full! And the holiday boxes have yet to come into the garage!

Load number one completed; return to the scene of the crime! The guys got the gym equipment down on the second trip, and I do not know how they did it! Mary’s sons got the things upstairs and said they would never move from this spot.  The Ortega Team was amazing!!

It weighed a ton!

We finished up at 7:55 PM as the last of “Two Men and A Boy” was finishing. We are officially “pooped.”  I ran to CVS to get a prescription, and when I returned, I showed Mary my new gadget!
