Only Robinson Crusoe had everything done by Friday.
We hit the ground running with Mary staying home for a while to do some chores at her place, and I went to make sure the trash guys made several runs past the house!
While awaiting the trash guys, I began replacing the fluorescent lights with the newest eight-foot-long LEDs. Removing the ballast was pretty easy, but rewiring was a challenge due to the lighting in the garage.
When Joe arrived, he and Carri did the other two high lights in the garage. Let there be light!
When Mary got here, she attacked the front yard, meeting several neighbors along the way. She took off the dead blossoms and pulled some weeds. The place is looking pretty good right now!
Mary has a hair appointment, and she added me to the schedule. I like to new lady and my hair, what there is of it, looks pretty good.
I could NOT resist this trick shot. The hair parlor is next to the pizza joint, so I kneeled and took the shot. Everyone who saw the picture had to laugh!
Joe and Carri came over and assisted us by finishing off the garage lights and moving the heavily planted vegetable containers around to the side of the pool!
We got cleaned up by 4:00 PM and headed to Joe and Amy’s place for a small get-together to celebrate Alex’s birthday; he is getting so big! We all dived into pizza and drank a little wine and laughed and giggled for a couple of hours.
I am so very proud of my son Joe and his lovely family, Amy, Charlie, and Alex.
We departed Joe’s at about 6:30 PM and headed to Chino Hills for an evening of dancing with our friends. It was so much fun we stayed past our 9:00 PM curfew and didn’t go home until 9:30 PM. We are so lucky to be surrounded by so many wonderful members of our family and dear friends.
