A Day To Recover!!

Something to ponder:  “What is the difference between a duck?”.

We rested, a much-needed rest!  We did manage to unload the dishwasher and reload it with more dirty dishes.  R2D2’s were scrubbed and are ready to go ahead should they be needed.

We got ready to go to “Girls Night Out” at the Santa Ana Elks, an event we cannot do without.

We all arrived at the same time and enjoyed a delicious meal.  I did their tuna melt and we shared tome “extra crispy” shoestring potatoes.

Bob and I do most of the kibitzing much to the entertainment of those around us.

Mary keeps us on the straight and narrow but she adds to the conversation keeping everything classy!

Meet Ronnie, a relatively new Elk.  We met him a few weeks ago and have asked him to join Girls Night Out”.  He is a retired law enforcement officer and part-time DJ.  Great sense of humor and a delightful person.  We are happy to have him in the group!

New friend, Ronnie.

After 90 minutes of laughter, we headed home. When we got home, we decided to go into the hot tub and we stayed in there for an hour and a half.

I was relaxing in a Jacuzzi when Mary pointed a finger at me and gave me a really angry look…  I knew then I was in hot water!

I snapped a picture of us before and after!

Mary is on the right and I am on the left!

We got back in the house just before Two And A Half Men.  Mary tested the couch to make sure it was flat and even, it was!  I landed on the rocking chair.  We were exhausted.

read the newspaper for a few minutes and then I apparently upset Scout, The Wonder Dog…

It was “Good Nigh Gracy; Good Night George” before 8:00 PM

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
