Zippity Doo Da; Zippity Day; My Oh My What A Wonderful Day!!

Most people are so lazy, they don’t even exercise good judgement!

We were LAZY this morning.  Robin departed about 6:30 AM and I had a cup of coffee with her before she took off.  I then worked on the daily diary and did some quiet chores around the house.

I heard Mary in her room around 9:00 AM and I offered a cup of coffee which was gladly accepted.  She iced my knee and made sure I took the pills that are helping me with the knee.

Mary bought me some shoes because I am such a clown.  Now I figured out why! Not funny!

“Mary, this is definitely NOT funny!!”

We opened and started a new puzzle which Colleen gave us.  It is going to be a challenge! We worked on it from 9:00 Am until 1:00 PM without a break!  It looked easy but the dark areas were very difficult.

The Republicans

Around 11:00 PM Mary hit the garden with her shopping selecting some excellent cauliflower for our attempt at cauliflower “mac and cheese”. The golden cauliflower was perfect for our new cooking experience!  I told MAry, “I’m no cook; when I want lemon on chicken, I spray it with Pledge.”

We got the idea for cooking cauliflower after our visit to Mary Poppin’s Restaurant last night…We had Super cauliflower cheese but the lobster was atrocious!

The cauliflower was yellow, perfect for our dish of the day!

We washed and broke the cauliflower into smaller pieces and gave them a hot water bath for about ten minutes!  The chicken got a good sautee to turn it golden brown on both sides before adding the sauce.  I told Mary that. “I once watched a chicken cross the road. It was poultry in motion.”  Of course, without skipping a beat she replied, “What direction do chickens swim in a pool? Cluck wise!”

Some additional browning required and the cilantro seasoning and lunch was ready!

Looks delicious and it was delicious.

Rubba Dub Dub, Here Comes The Gtub!

We had some cilantro chicken and decided to saute it and have it as an accompaniment to the “mac and cheese”.  Perfect selection!

At 2:00 PM we decided to go dancing with Bob and Donna out in the boonies.  We got ourselves cleaned up.  We then headed to Villa Park and brought Jan some of our recent foodies (the chicken and dumplings and some “mac and cheese” without the mac, we substituted cauliflower florets).

We did a fly-by at Mary’s so she could get gussied up for the dance and then off like a rocket to Chino so we could meet up with Donna and Bob at P.F. Changs before the dance.  Great dinner although we ate a small salad and some lettuce wraps, we suffed ourselves while cooking this morning.

Mary and I shared a meal aas we were stuffed from lunch!

Donna told us of their anniversary plans right after I told her it was our 6-month anniversary.  We have to catch up to them but it will take another 42 years!

Doona was Donna and that is super!

Putting Bob and I together is always a risky business!  We were demonstrating our DIY SCUBA equipment, I think?

Bob is Bob and…..

We danced until 9:00 PM and headed back home which was a 45 minute drive.  We did dance but not every dance as the knee was still a little sore.
