Doggy Day + Toofy Day

I read a book on anti-gravity. I couldn’t put it down.

The alarm went off, and I jumped out of bed and headed to the shower as I had to be at Mary’s by 7:00 AM for Scout’s dental appointment.  I arrived just on time, we had a cup of coffee, and then we took Mary’s truck to the dental appointment.  Scout is 55 pounds and is an older baby needing a ramp to get into the car.

His checkup was perfect, so we decided to take him home and then go out to breakfast.  We picked a tried and true place, iHop!  We also decided to be good citizens, and we drove to the house of the fellow who lost his wallet.  He was not home, so we left it with the property management people!  As Mom used to say, “Do on to others, and you want to be done upon!”.

After getting home, Mary’s back was not in great shape, so I convinced her to lie down and get the ice pack on the lower back.  Surprisingly, she was a good patient and did what Dr. Liles said!

Time to make some calls!

She was a good girl and laid down for almost three hours with ice exchanges every hour.  Now it was time for her dentist appointment.

May checked some paperwork before we departed; all is well, we can go!

1 + 1 = 2; We are good to go!

Needless to say, the checkup was perfect.  Hey, perfection is perfection!

Did Mary say, “Please do not post this picture???”

So we are all the way to Huntington Beach, time for a Patty’s Place Run!  Mary is still trying to try one of everything!  Tonight was a rack of lamb!

I controlled myself and did not say, “Nice rack!”… I am so good!

We sat for almost two hours dining and cavorting with the locals.  We invited an old fellow to join us for a drink; he was definitely a local. We talked to him for almost thirty minutes!

Rack of Lamb and a NY steak, we are going to feast tomorrow for lunch!

Then, all of a sudden, without notice, no warning bells or whistles, SMACK!  Amazing, I got dessert before I even bit into dinner!  How good is that???

Mary definitely needs eyeglasses.

We headed home, stopping by Renata’s in downtown Orange to pick up my misplaced credit card. Then to home, arriving at about 9:30 PM.  Time for Miss Mary to get another ice pack on her lower back! I went out into the freezing snow and shoveled up some fresh ice and brought it to her.  It was nice to know her pain was subsiding.

She crashed, and the Silver Fox and I headed west into what was the sunset.  Arriving home at 10:15 PM, I turned on the TV and zap; I was a goner.

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
