A Tough Day

Last night was sleepless, I just tossed and turned and could not get the eyes to close.  So, I got up!  Robin was up at 3:30 AM, getting ready to go to work.  We had a cup of coffee, and she headed to the salt-mine.

I can’t get the wonderful things we shared together out of my head, nor do I really want too.  Below, Sue was admiring the old Dusenberg and she was dressed to match!  We were at Trump National where every year we would go to the car show.

One amazing car; one amazing woman! Classy lady; classy car!

I got the last of the paperwork ready for the tax lady.  I departed the house at 8:00 AM and got there about 8:45 AM, so I waited in the car.   While waiting, I did my renewal for my passport.  I see some minor amount of travel in the future, perhaps a surprise visit to the UK???

While getting my teeth pulled, oops, my taxes done (kind of the same thing), Colleen and Jackie called with excellent news!  Made my day!

My accountant said. “Good job, Paul.”  I only had three things I had to get, and I found them immediately.  I put the Social Security 1099s in the incorrect folder and some dividend papers also in the wrong year.  Now I have an excellent excuse for a trip to Patty’s Place for a quick snort before returning home to fix dinner.  Listen to me, “I said fix dinner.”

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
