It takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, and a day to love them, but it takes an entire lifetime to forget them.
It was rough today as it has been a week, but with support for family and friends, I made it another day. Collen and I picked up Lee on our way to Temecula, Arriving at The Pinnacle, we met Robin & Bob and Lisa & Pete. We had a super lunch and tasted a little bit of wine, leaving half of the tastes on the table.
The girls kept an eye on me and knew when my face would wrinkle up (more than usual) and come over with a big hug.
During lunch, Mic, the General Manager of Bolinger’s Candlelight Dinner Theater, called with his condolences. He found out via the box office staff and wanted to assure me the Christmas Play is booked and they if I needed anything, to call him! He will be joining the Celebration of Life in June. That call did me in, had to walk around for a few minutes!
Lee was able to talk to me about losing a loved one as her partner passed four years ago. She was accommodating in listening to me and assuring me it was normal! What I am dealing with was quite reasonable; she went through the process so recently. Thank you, Lee.
We returned home at 5:00 PM, and I crashed for a good hour as the old butt was dragging!
Coleen brought burgers from In-n-Out home about 9:00 PM, and we made it disappear. By 10:00 PM, the eyes were getting fuzee, so it is time to get some sleep hopefully. If not, I know it is OK to watch all night TV and “Coast-To-Coast AM” on KFI-640!
