It’s Going To Be A Good Day!

Life is like a moving river, and you can be at the mercy of the river if you don’t take action to steer yourself in a predetermined direction.

It’s Thursday and time to hit the ground running, and I did! Right out of the shoot, the Silver Ghost and I did a “Lowe’s Run” to get the materials needed to mount the new TV when it gets here.  In addition, I got a Bosch leveling device which I needed for quite a while!  The toy box gets another goodie!

I passed by the shoe repair and delivered the other “pair” of shoes.  The Chinaman had a great laugh and he got me tickled also!  Friday I get three pairs of shoes and shined up and repaired and I will probably get a lecture from him about making sure I am wearing the right shoes.

From there I ran home to finish drying Sue’s clothes I plan to take her after lunch.

Off to Mexico, I flew, well, not Mexico exactly but the Yucatan Grill in Seal Beach.  I was first there and first to have a margarita!  It was not 5:00 PM yet but I could not resist! Robin joined me at 11:05 AM and we enjoyed a good conversation plus Robin’s sister gave me home health care recommendations.  Shrimp Diablo was on my mind so I did it! My mouth was still burning two hours later.   I got Sue her favorite vegetarian tamale before speeding away to the hospital.

Today was not good as her blood pressure was way down and she did not get out of bed all day meaning no PT.  Disappointed, I came home around 3:30 PM and returned at 6:00 PM with a warmed up veggie tamale.  She was not doing well so I stayed until 7:45 PM before coming home to a big empty house!

Tonight a little TV and bed.  I watched “American Factory”. Summary: In post-industrial Ohio, a Chinese billionaire opens a factory in an abandoned General Motors plant, hiring two thousand Americans. Early days of hope and optimism give way to setbacks as high-tech China clashes with working-class America.

Yes, this sign is a repeat but it is just too funny!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
