Saturday, The Year Is Just About Gone!

I never worry about being driven to drink; I worry about being driven home.

Last-minute coordination is underway, and we just added four couples today! We always have room for one more friend, and right now, there are 116 of us.  The great thing is that we have our son and three daughters and their families joining us.  We will miss Colleen but perhaps next year.  Also, we have two grandsons joining us!

It’s a lot of work to put this together

Mid-morning, I was off to the grocery store and Bed, Bath, and Beyond.  It was a short visit, but successful!

Late in the afternoon, we decided to go to Old Ranch for a bite of food and a drink before heading to Garden Grove for an evening with friends.

Another romantic afternoon at the ranch!

Once at GArden GRove, we dined and danced and carried on late into the night, which at our age is about 9:00 PM!  Justus was playing, and we will see them again on the 31st as we hired them (and Nine Carat Gold) to play at the party!

We ended up watching several episodes of “Last Man Standing,” an excellent series. A piece of trivia: In the beginning, the show was to be called “Man Up,” but then it was changed to “The Last Days of a Man,” but finally, it was called “Last Man Standing.”

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
