Now We Wait For Year Twenty-Three

If you can stay calm while all around you is chaos, then you probably haven’t completely understood the situation.

We had a super day yesterday and are anxious for the year to begin again!  Today we relaxed and got started on preparing for pumpkin day!

It’s the truth, the whole truth!

The front yard needed attention since it was going to be 99 degrees today, we decided to water everything!  I got so tired of dragging the hose around, setting the sprinkler, and then going back and forth to get the pressure right that I created a “time-saver.”  I put a valve on the end of the hose, then a six-foot segment of tubing with a sprinkler head.  Now, all I do is turn on the hose full blast, walk to the end of the hose and turn off the water, move and place the sprinkler where it goes next, and then adjust the valve for the right pressure!  I saved about a mile of walking that way!

Since Saturday is punkin carving, the Silver Ghost and I went shopping for the big orange devils.  We bought home two loads of eight pumpkins each, one from Von’s and one from Ralph’s.

We took a nap in the afternoon as we have plans for the Phoenix Club this evening. Dancing and visiting friends is our favorite pastime.  Out table was packed this evening with Vicky & Del, Bob & Donna, Marsha & Leon, Vince & Nancy,

An evening of easy listening and incredible dancing is ahead

We departed about 10:00 PM just in time to put some tookies into the oven and watch some TV.

We saw something strange in the sky on our way home but, it is almost Halloween so we didn’t report it!

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
