OMG! It’s October Tomorrow!

“The best thing about this group of candidates is that only one of them will win.” — Will Rogers (Thank Goodness)

Monday morning and the lamp went on! I can make coffee and just drink half a pot instead of the entire thing! Damn, it tasted so good!

A beautoful day and the trees are reaching up to the sky!
We puttered for a while in the back yard making sure the soil was moist
(must keep the worms alive)

Our nurse came at 10:00 AM and stayed a while taking the latest information. Her job in life is to try to keep Sue out of the hospital…so far, the attempt has failed but we are willing to try again!

After she departed, we went to Mama’s place, just around the corner. The Caesar Salad was pretty good and Sue did the Grilled Cheese. The wine and gin and tonic really made the meal better!

Mama’s for lunch!

The website needed some work and I needed to double check our theater tickets for the next several months as we have many many performances lined up and the final dance schedule is out.

I finally sold a load of Krugerrands I have had since the 1970’s and early 80’s. Whenever I had some extra cash, I’d buy one or more and put it away for a rainy day. I just looked and I had 78 of them little suckers in a nice little pile. When I bought them, they were about $140-150 each but today I sold 50 of them and got $1431 each! Life is good! It was my secret cash!

We went to Melanie’s for our normal Monday afternoon cocktails meeting up with Irene.

View due south with Catalina in the background!

We talked for a couple of hours and finally headed for home!

Heading home!

Arriv on our block we were greeted with Halloween decorations meaning I must take the camera out for a spin and collect the photos of Rossmoor going wild at Halloween!

We get infested with ghosts and goblins every Halloween!

So we picked a date for our annual Halloween pumpkin carving event and will be collecting pumpkins fo the next two weeks!

Scary things come around at that time of the year!

We finally crashed a little early as we had a full day of doing nothing…ain’t retirement great?

About Paul

Just an old retired guy trying to finish out my last years on this planet. I lost my best friend and wife in early 2020. I was blessed again by reconnecting with Dr. Mary Côté, a long-time friend. Mary and I got married July 28th, 2021, and are enjoying life together and plan to spend the rest of our lives being a blessing to our friends and family.
