It was so cold… pickpockets were sticking their hands in strangers’ pockets to keep warm.
Done at last…the Avalon Ball Website is ready to go live! Visit the site and all the fun! We just plain had fun! Reservations are already made for next year!
We remembered the post ball trek from the Casino into town…we took the cab and stopped at the Lobster Trap…an experience we will not attempt again!
The rest of the day we just lounged around… I “worked” in the shop getting the new roll-around tool box properly filled and cleaning up some tools. The sciatic nerve was feeling its oats today, I could hardly walk so “work” i the garage translates to sit on the chair and sort through some tools.
Late morning the Silver Ghost and I screamed up the freeway to Long Beach Town Center to visit Lowe’s and the wine store. Mother nature seemed to be sad today as she weeped on and off all day. She could not make up her mind whether to rain or not. The high was 61 today…b-r-r-r-r-r-r-r
We wanted to go to Disneyland today and help celebrate Robin’s 17th Anniversary (our oldest daughter) but between my leg not working and having to push the wheelchair, we had to opt out. We missed seeing Bob and Robin…but we know they had a great time form the pictures. Love you Bob and Robin!
Joe called mid afternoon and we are planning to join his family Monday for a get together. We are going to coordinate and solidify the plans tomorrow morning.
The clock tolleth (I do not think that is a word but…) six so it is time to do the trek due East to the Garden Grove Elks where Sonny & Chere (Justus) are playing tonight…we would not miss them! Amazing dance music and they know what a volume control is. We met up with some of the gang and had another super evening. Laughing, teasing, taunting, goading, mocking, giggling are continuous processes in our group. We left tired (from visiting, not dancing, damn the sciatica), full (from dining), and sore (from laughing)…that is a good feeling!
We watched TV after arriving home and did some reading finally crashing about 11:30 PM. Oh, of course, we had “tookie time”.
